2022 recap
Each year our talented team Mischief Makers B.V. create a visual recap and invite me to add a Founders note. I challenged #ChatGPT to write it for me and to be fair - it sounded great. It sold our successes and services perfectly. But it didn't really feel right.
Last year was a tough one, for many reasons, not least of which was the loss of my wonderful Father. Managing a company while managing grief made last year somewhat of a haze - but I do vividly remember how often I felt SO proud and grateful for my team - and in awe at how we continued to hustle and make incredible work against any odds and circumstances.
That's a reflection Chat GPT couldn't do justice (yet) but I'm glad it made me try to find the words, and thanks, for myself. Here it is:
"When recapping a year we often highlight achievements - and looking over another MM Year in review, I’m definitely sat brimming with pride at what we’ve accomplished. I can speak about how we’ve helped teams transition to the virtual and hybrid work world, discovering new and more human ways to meet and collaborate. Or cheer about the the fact that 2022 is the year organizations fully embraced and leveraged the power of facilitative leadership - to achieve their goals and lead thriving decentralized work cultures. But the highlights are already beautifully captured right here in this visual (thank you Maria Erlandsson).
What I’m most struck by though, is that my real pride and appreciation for MM 2022, sits in the in-between.
In how our team rallied and supported each other through personal tragedies. In the grace, humour and support alive in every Mischief connection; between co-founders, team, community, clients, the board. In practising what we preach: human to human first.
Yes we’ve grown, we’re scaling - and then some! But last year it was the proof and growth of our culture, in how we showed up, that I’m proudest of, and really grateful for. "
